RCWO comes from the same White Oak tree as QSWO. The straight grain on both cuts is basically the same. The difference between quarter sawn and rift cut is that Rift Cut White Oak will have a lesser amount of the ribbon-and-flake characteristic that can be very prevalent in QSWO at times.
