Brighton Responds to Dealer Requests for New Colors
Homeowners are asking for more color in their kitchens than they have in years. Brighton Cabinetry responded by adding finish colors based on requests from designers and market trends. These are now standard colors – no custom color match required.
How Were Brighton Cabinetry's New Colors Chosen?
Since color trends for the kitchen are ever changing and evolving, Brighton went to the experts for assistance in finalizing their selections. They consulted the survey results of an NKBA survey provided by kitchen designers and other industry pros.
Paint Colors Added to Brighton's Standard Palette
Basil and Cypress
Shades of green represent one of the most homeowner requested colors according to industry pros. It’s ideal for nature-inspired kitchens, as well as wellness kitchens. Picture it in one of your organic modern designs featuring Brighton cabinetry.
Brighton Colors Maritime and Robin
Blue in the kitchen is the second most popular paint color, after green.
Designers report their clients feel a sense of calm when a blue shade is incorporated in their new kitchen.
Either blue shade would be perfect for a coastal-inspired kitchen.
Shades of Gray from Brighton
Gray is a neutral, cool shade for cabinets. “Cool” as in a cool hue, described as calm or soothing. The opposite of warm. Not “cool” as in hip or happening.
You can reassure nervous clients who are concerned about getting their kitchen cabinet finish color wrong by recommending a neutral, like Brighton’s Silvern, Fog or Blush — all timeless colors. Any one of these will provide the perfect backdrop for a backsplash, the countertops, wall colors, appliances and floors.
Brighton Goes Beyond Gray with New Neutrals
Neutral paint colors will never go out of style. Brighton considered the importance of neutrals when they added Blush to their standard finish color palette. Blush is a great base for stronger colors or accents, such as blues, yellows and brass hardware.
An Additional White in their Color Collection
There are over 150,000 shades of white paint. Each white has an undertone that is almost undetectable but makes each white a different shade.
The new white from Brighton is a cool white. Cool whites have a blue or green undertone. Brighton’s Cool is a great choice for a room that gets lots of natural light.
A Versatile Accent Red: Ablaze
Red as a kitchen cabinet finish color can work with just about any kitchen style, from contemporary to farmhouse. It creates a warm, welcoming feeling, especially when paired with natural finished wood.
Brighton’s new red, Ablaze, is the ideal color for kitchen cabinets if your client wants to “go wild” or if they want to just a hint of the color.
Another Accent Color: Gilded
Yellow can instantly brighten up a kitchen and will make people feel happy. Brighton’s new yellow, Gilded is a deep, golden color. Pair Gilded with other cabinets finished in darker colors for a two-toned look. Dark bronze hardware will really pop on Gilded.
Brighton’s most ordered finish colors reveal changes to consumer preferences every year.
Shades and variations of white continue to dominate as favorites.
Has the extreme popularity of white paint for kitchen cabinets begun to diminish? Depends on who you ask. Here’s a yes, white kitchens are fading in popularity. And here’s a no, white kitchens are timeless.
